मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु । मामेवैष्यसि सत्यं ते प्रतिजाने प्रियोऽसि मे ॥
Translation
Fix your mind on me, be devoted to me, offer everything to me, and bow to me. I promise you truly, you will come to me — you are dear to me.
Explanation
The verse ends not with a warning but with an affirmation — 'you are dear to me' — a striking note of warmth to land on after so much philosophical instruction. It's a reminder that the underlying tone of the whole teaching is closer to care than to obligation.
Reflect
Has today's effort felt more like obligation, or could you let it feel a little more like being genuinely cared for?
