ब्रह्मभूतः प्रसन्नात्मा न शोचति न काङ्क्षति । समः सर्वेषु भूतेषु मद्भक्तिं लभते पराम् ॥
Translation
One who has realized the ultimate reality, with a peaceful mind, neither grieves nor craves, and remains equal toward all beings — such a person attains supreme devotion.
Explanation
'Neither grieves nor craves' isn't the same as feeling nothing — it describes a settled state that isn't constantly pulled backward by regret or forward by wanting. That kind of settledness is worth aiming for even in small doses, on an ordinary day.
