Chapter 12, Verse 9

अथ चित्तं समाधातुं न शक्नोषि मयि स्थिरम् । अभ्यासयोगेन ततो मामिच्छाप्तुं धनञ्जय ॥

Translation

If you cannot fix your mind steadily on me, then seek to reach me through the practice of repeated effort.

Explanation

What's notable here is the immediate offer of a fallback — the text doesn't insist on one single method or shame someone who finds the first approach too hard. It simply redirects toward gentler, repeated practice instead of demanding an already-perfected focus.

Reflect

If today's ideal approach to something important feels too hard right now, what's a gentler, repeatable version you could try instead?
