यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत । अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥
Translation
Whenever righteousness declines and unrighteousness rises, I manifest myself.
Explanation
Read less literally, this verse can be read as a claim about how things tend to self-correct — periods of imbalance eventually call forth some kind of restoring response, whether that shows up as an event, a person, or simply a shift in collective will. It's a reason for patience during a period that currently looks bad.
