अहं सर्वस्य प्रभवो मत्तः सर्वं प्रवर्तते । इति मत्वा भजन्ते मां बुधा भावसमन्विताः ॥
Translation
I am the source of everything; everything proceeds from me. Understanding this, the wise worship me with deep feeling.
Explanation
'Understanding this' is doing real work in the sentence — the verse ties devotion directly to a specific realization, not blind ritual. Genuine appreciation, in this framing, follows from actually seeing where something comes from, not from performing gratitude without that underlying recognition.
