त्रिदलं त्रिगुणाकारं त्रिनेत्रं च त्रयायुधम् । त्रिजन्मपापसंहारं एकबिल्वं शिवार्पणम् ॥
tri-dalaṁ tri-guṇākāraṁ tri-netraṁ cha trayāyudham, tri-janma-pāpa-sanhāraṁ eka-bilvaṁ śhivārpaṇam
Meaning
Three leaves, embodying the three qualities of nature, offered to the three-eyed one bearing three weapons — this single bilva leaf destroys sins across three lifetimes; I offer it to Shiva.
